Data protection and classification is a critical component of any organization’s data security strategy and compliance program. Use this timesaving checklist to establish a workable data protection and classification policy, as well as support PCI DSS compliance. 

Gain an understanding of data protection, data classification levels and standards for data processing with this policy which classifies all information assets including: 

  • Physical media such as paper documents, faxes, etc. 
  • Storage such as removable drives, CDs, DVDs and USBs. 
  • Electronic storage media, including phones and tablets. 
  • Electronic systems collectively known as “information systems.”
